Lindsay, BMan, welcome and thanks for commenting.

Lindsay, yes Dr. Tiller saved lots of women's lives - there have been people posting their very personal experiences with the type of abortions he performed, all over the web - tragic and heartbreaking reading. I truly do not understand how anyone could think that this was something done lightly or for no reason. Unreal.

BMan, well it's not all churches or churchgoers who involve themselves in stuff like this, or who are even anti-choice. I don't have much use for religion myself, but I do think freedom to practice one's religion is an important right which should be protected.

This, of course, does not prevent anyone from disagreeing strongly with the religion or the religious teachings. Which I am quite willing to do.

I suggest if you feel strongly about this, start a protest outside your local church. If churchgoers have to cross a picket line to get to their terrorist organizations they might rethink some of their beliefs.

Perhaps a constitutional amendment to repeal freedom of religion might make them think again about what they are promoting.

What an outrage! Abortion is still quite legal in this country - the murder of full-grown people (ie beings outside the womb, which everyone can agree upon are alive) is NOT. This man is a cold-blooded killer and murderer.

And wasn't Dr. Tiller providing abortions to usually save the mothers' lives? You can always have more children, you can't always get another wife!

Until I see pro-lifers put down their guns and protest outside the Department of Defense and Pentagon for murder I will regard them as a bunch of hypocrites. Children in Iraq are definately alive. Civilians are definately people. Start protesting the real tragedies people! Leave the guns at home and respect a woman's legal right to choose.
