“ist”less
I mentioned today, on a thread at feministe (which I won’t link – because I don’t particularly want the trackback and this is not really related to post, but it was called “Labels”) …
Anyway, I mentioned that I was currently “ist”less – not feminist, not womanist, and not this or that ist, except for maybe humanist, and I’m just realizing how true that is. How true it’s been for a long time. Perhaps due to overexposure to the Kierkegaard quotation “Once you label me you negate me“, which seemed to be everywhere at one time.
Dunno. In fact, I don’t even know why I wrote this, except maybe to capture the thought in order to expand on it later.
