Natterings
I’m posting from the blackberry again so, short and sweet.
General kvetch – for a distance learning institution where students presumably are accessing the site from a variety of devices, they (University of Phoenix) sure have a crappy website. It’s annoying from just a regular computer – from this device it’s the pits.
I have now found out that they do have a mobile version, but only for iphone.
All these shootings, sigh. They seem to come in clusters sometimes. I hope this ends with two.
I was sorry to hear about the anti gay vote in Maine. I have no doubt that equal right for gays and lesbians (and all) will be the law of the land eventually but until then…
One bright spot, for me. My granddaughter, who has had anti gay junk pushed on her from friends and other family members (some on her father’s side of the family) for years, with mine sometimes the lone voice of dissent (except my 85 yr old mom, who thinks no one should get married until gays and lesbians have full equality) – anyway, g-daughter just wrote an essay for school in favor of gay marriage and full equal rights for all. I knew nothing about it until it was finished and ready to turn in. I was so proud of her and happy to know that she was able to see through all the personal biases of some (some of it couched in religious language) to the core of the matter.
There is hope for the future.
