    I finally broke down and got cable for my mom, because the whole converter box thing was such a pain. I was telling her about the history channel and all the cool stuff it had on it (or did have, when I last watched it years ago) and come to find out it’s all pretty much just DOOM!sday junk. Sigh.

    So, she’s back to watching mostly jewelry channels again – only with less static and more choices. So, yay, I guess.
