“euthanized with explosives… “

Why don’t they just say they blew the whale up?

I know what they mean, and the whale was sick and all that… but still, that’s like saying death row prisoners in Utah (or wherever that is they have firing squads) are “euthanized with bullets”.

    New Moon Girls Online (http://www.newmoon.com/) (recommended twice) and Hardy Girls Healthy Women (http://www.hardygirlshealthywomen.org/)

    Teen Voices: http://www.teenvoices.com/ – based in Boston, national mag for teen girls. Mostly staffed by young women of color, though not specifically oriented as a WOC mag.

    VOX: http://www.voxrox.org/who/index.html – based in Atlanta, may only be city-focused.

    And two recommendations for http://www.shamelessmag.com/

    Hi Jaz,

    Thank you so much for following up! I meant to make it back to that thread, but never did. And then I got the flu and barely made it back here either!

    I will look at these, some of them seem great! Particularly the Teen Voices one, with the photos they have and the topics. It’s not that she needs a mag that is *only* for girls of color – but if she goes to one and all the display is white children and corresponding topics she’ll just click off immediately. Not surprising, but still.

    Thanks again for taking the time to look for these – I really appreciate it.
